Porn movies are going great guns world over and US is not an exception, particularly when the human tendency to explore the field is always on a hype. Even the sacred places, wherein celibacy is considered the greatest virtue, but still virtues are often overpowered by the internal instinct of humans and results often appear in the form of ‘Pedophiles’. Is this sheer obscene material really worth showing? That is a debatable issue. However, a porn addict led conservative group of Cincinnati strives to put an end to the paid porn movies from US’s 9,300 hotels that cater these services to the visitors through LodgeNet, a Sioux Falls based company that provides the on demand paid porn movies in US. On the other hand, LodgeNet defended itself with the argument that it follows the same standard as the satellite providers do and provides the option to block the adult movies if visitors want to avoid it. Banning the porn movies won’t work when there is vast adult material available on the internet, which the stringent cyber laws fail to rein in. US courts support individual choice for entertainment over the government’s restrictions and also curbs government’s powers to ban entertainment channels on these grounds. Well, laws can restrict the spheres, they can sack or call it degraded but when it comes to human psyche and its inclination, nothing can be done. However, the easy availability of the porn material on the web-sites and on TV channels has definitely added fuel to the fire and leads to many crimes that jolt human conscience. Putting a ban on the channel will hardly solve the problem and lot more remains to be done if society and people are seriously wanting to put an end to the obscene material on net or on TV.
