Republicans are distancing themselves from Bush and GOP leadership. Republicans involved in tight races are avoiding party labels and playing down their ties with the president. On issues from the Iraq war to Amtrak spending, GOP candidates are trying to argue that they don’t follow in lockstep. Still Bush is trying to win the confidence at republican base. Bush was the main attraction at a rally for Republican Senator Conrad Burns, who’s in a tough fight against Democratic challenger Jon Tester. For the coming election of Nov. 7 Bush is on his five-day tour.
However, Bush is enjoying the role of a campaigner against Democrats who are believed to be tax raisers and the main reasons behind the unsuccessful Iraq war. The republicans are of the view that instead of creating there new vote bank they will be relying on the 39% of core supporters. Republican voters need to be given some reassurance
The main issues of elections are gay marriage, Iraq and the internal security of America. Until now, the issue of gay marriages is under the trial of court. On two other issues the republicans seems to be failing. Till date Bush is unable to prove the presence of nuke weapons in Iraq and the appropriate reason behind its invasion. On the other hand, the US was badly hurt due to 9/11 attacks and all this happened during the Presidentship of Bush. Such happenings have made voters to think that weather they need change or not. It was only Bush, due to whom the whole US is looked as anti Islamic. The harsh steps and sanctions imposed by the Bush government resulted in expressing its notorious image.
The results of exit pool shows that Republicans will loose by a big difference - at least 20%.
Bottom line:
It is clear that Americans want change in leadership and will definitely remove Bush. This will allow US to gain back the name and fame which was lost during the Bush rule. Whole world is expecting that the new government will co-operate with the world instead of imposing sanctions.
