The outgoing Congress member Cynthia McKinney has introduced a bill to impeach President Bush in House on Friday.
However, the legislation has no chance of passing it in the House.
The new-to-be House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, has said that she is not going to act on this proposal to sanction Bush further.
She has also given a warning to her party members to not make political hay of impeachment against Bush.
Earlier, McKinney has insisted for several times that Bush was never elected according to the law.
On Friday, while introducing the legislation in the last working hours in the present Congress, she said that Bush has violated his oath of office and have not defended the Constitution as well as the nation’s laws.
McKinney has increasingly showed her image as a controversial figure. She, earlier, has suggested that Bush had prior information of the terrorist attacks but he did not disclose it to allow friends to get profit from the mishap.
