God, the blacks and Barack Obama

God is yet not a US Presidential candidate. The main battle is between Senators Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama. Yet now God and His presence are being seen as the last resort for Obama. Senator Clintons has virtually defeated Obama in every possible sphere. She has more money, better international renown, an ex-US philandering president for a husband, and a reassuring skin color. Black Obama has only his Christian faith. Obama is holding Gospel concerts throughout America to recreate a lost fervor of more religious yesteryears. The Washington Post reveals that for all his Biblical hysteria, Obama is still trailing and shamefully, his own black brethren have deserted him. Why is Senator Obama using religion in his politicking? Obama has confused white US Christianity with black Christianity. The white variety can be best explained as a sort of Protestant work ethics. This Christianity is a sign of power, of letting other nations know the might of a US under the protection of God. On the other hand, the Christianity practiced by the blacks is a religion which seeks strength against white oppression. It is, in other words, a sign of man’s weakness. So, when Christianity is evoked in the campaigns targeted at African-American audiences, the audience is only reminded of its own inadequacies. Thus they run away from Obama. In contrast, Mrs. Clinton treats the blacks as she treats her white voters. This assures minority groups in the US that they are equal to Anglo-Saxon white America. Obama is seen to be a mob-panderer while Senator Clinton is seen to be firm enough to steer the nation without partiality to any racial group. It is better to have a liberal white woman as a leader than an African-American who cannot see beyond his own community and religion. Also going by past Clinton family standards, one can reasonably expect some fun at the White House if Senator Clinton comes to power. Then the US will be distracted sufficiently from ongoing wars to let peace reign once again in the world. There is only one concern of worry. The neglected African Americans have yet again lost their hope of having a black President. Barack Obama does not do his people credit.
