I wonder how and why the people of America elected someone who is such a limited man, ill-equipped intellectually and politically and who has repeatedly failed to grasp the complexities of the situation since the launch of ‘war on terror,’ and also to add that he hardly acknowledge the fact that his surge isn’t working in Iraq.

However, Iraq will always keep haunting Bush but there’s something else that never goes out of fashion in Washington and that is the good old revolutionary leader Fidel Castro. US President George W. Bush made plain his feelings about Fidel Castro yesterday - wishing the Cuban leader would disappear.

Bush said-

One day the good Lord will take Fidel Castro away.

At the age of eighty now, who is struggling in his death-bed after undergoing emergency intestinal surgery in July last year, Castro still serve as a threat to those in the White House, who I am sure ‘wet their trousers’ (to borrow from the poet Antler). This is not the first time though that Washington wants him to die, the recent files disclosed by CIA also shows that US even planed to assassinate Castro with the help of professional Killer. Whatever US might think but for Castro ‘Revolution is not a bed of roses. Revolution is a struggle to the death between the past and the future.’ His message always is - you can kill the rebel, not the rebellion. For him, indeed, resistance, like hope, never dies.
