the democrat candidates

The American Presidential race is hotting up day by day. Riding on the wave of failure of George WMD Bsh on the Iraq front and continuous clampdown on domestic liberty, the Democratic candidates are quite hopeful of entering the White House. But, in their first ever direct debates, the Democratic candidates seem to be unorganized and unconvinced on a variety of issues ranging from Iraq to the drug problem in the U.S. This showcases the issues within the issue-based party ideology for the first time in the American history.

The presidential race is looking more as a Democratic versus Democratic contest rather than a Republican-Democrat duel. It’s more Hillary versus Obama, rather than policies of George Bush versus expectation of the U.S. people. Though, the Democrats enjoy a comfortable lead over their Republican brothers, the differential postures of party candidates is sure to confuse party rank and files as well as voters.

Though, most of the Democrats are in favor of troop withdrawal from Iraq, the time limit and American prestige are the two issues, which are hounding them. The next important issue is, issue of education and tax cut on social security measures. The increasing gun culture and profound use of cannabis in the American society among the Democratic hopefuls.

The Democrats are eyeing for another Clinton era that gave America peace and stability for years gaining considerable political mileage for the party. But, the confusing differentiation between the party candidates is bereaving the party of a united stand and corner the Republican campaign. American citizens are disenchanted with Bush administration for its failure in Iraq, disappointment in Afghanistan and not so-happy scenario at domestic economic front. Lets hope Democrats can win another Clinton era in the White House and the U.S. citizens get some peace.
