After the fierce argument over the uranium enrichment and supporting terrorists in Iraq against US army, Iranian President will visit Colombia University. He will face a question and answer session wherein students and the renowned faculty of the university will be raising all the issues that Iran is blamed with.
The Iranian nuclear ambitions and its purpose is always a matter of suspicion for the US. On the other hand, this visit is at a very sensitive time when altercations between the two are looming large on various issues that include supporting terrorists in Iraq, nuclear enrichment, and Iran’s crude attitude.
US asking for the third round of sanctions against Iran and the threats of striking Iran are unnecessary dominance on US’s side. And particularly the threats of attack from US and Israel were retaliated by Iran with the blackmailing to strike Israel if any such endeavor will be taken into account.
On the other hand, Ahmadinejad’s request to visit the 9/11 site was rejected by the US officials to which Iranian president answered that he’ll not force the same if atmosphere will not be conducive.
Well, the unnecessary dispute started with the uranium enrichment which should have ended with Iran calling in the IAEA inspectors to examine its reactors. But now US led forces claimed to have arrested an officer of the Iranian revolutionary Guard in the Kurdish city of Sulaimaniya. This will add fuel to the fire. However, with this visit both nations will be face to face before each other. There will be vital discussions on sensitive issues and questions regarding these will be answered.
There is the need to eschew the despotic attitude to end the conflicts. US should shed of the overweening ambitions to dominate and Iran should leave aside the idea to wipe Israel off the map which is too rigid a saying. So, no more insularity on either side and both should trim the spheres of conflicts if both are serious to end the conflicts.
